How to request deletion of your personal data and Starkid account.

1. Your Right to Deletion
At Universica Digital, we respect your right to control your personal data. Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, and Google Play's data deletion requirements, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data and account at any time.
2. How to Request Deletion
You can request data or account deletion through either method:
- Email: Send a deletion request to starkid@universicadigital.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request” or “Account Deletion Request”. Include the email address associated with your account.
- In-app: Navigate to Settings → Account → Delete Account within the Starkid app. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm.
3. What Data Gets Deleted
When you request deletion, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Profile information: Name, email address, phone number, and profile photo.
- Account credentials: Login credentials and multi-factor authentication settings.
- Media: Photos and videos you uploaded to the platform.
- Messages: Direct messages and communication history.
- Preferences: App settings, notification preferences, and personalisation data.
- Child data: Any child-related information associated solely with your account, including developmental records, activity logs, and portfolios.
4. What Data May Be Retained
Certain data may be retained even after a deletion request, where required or permitted by law:
- Financial records: Transaction and billing history required for tax and accounting purposes.
- Legal obligations: Data that we are legally required to retain for compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcement of our agreements.
- Anonymised data: Aggregated, de-identified data that can no longer be linked to you may be retained for analytics and service improvement.
- School records: If your data is part of a school's institutional records, the school administrator may retain it independently under their own data policies.
5. Deletion Timeline
We will process your deletion request within 30 days of receiving it. In some cases, it may take up to 90 days for data to be fully purged from all backup systems. You will receive confirmation by email once deletion is complete.
6. Account Deletion Consequences
Please be aware that account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once processed:
- You will lose access to all Starkid features and data.
- Any active subscriptions will be cancelled at the end of the current billing period.
- Deleted data cannot be recovered. If you wish to use Starkid again, you will need to create a new account.
7. Verification
To protect your privacy, we may verify your identity before processing a deletion request. This may include confirming the email address on file or requesting additional identification if needed.
